SYNERGY HomeCare Opens Its First Location in the Las Vegas Valley
May 06, 2025 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its first location in Nevada’s Las Vegas Valley, SYNERGY HomeCare of Anthem.
The company is owned and operated by Audra Brennan-Alva, who spent the majority of her career working as a school teacher and special education director, whilst also providing care for her aging parents, children, and now grandchildren. She is joined in leadership by Enjoli Molina, the company’s manager.
Headquartered in Henderson, Audra, Enjoli, and their team of compassionate caregivers will assist residents of Greater Las Vegas with a wide variety of non-medical, in-home care services, from companion care to personal care and respite care.
As a school teacher, Audra interacted with many Las Vegas families and noticed the growing need for these services in the area, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over 65. According to the AARP, over 80% of this demographic reports wanting to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
Audra has Master’s Degrees in both Educational Administration and Special Education, which she has since put to use for over a decade in the Clark County school system. Throughout her career in education, she has held roles as a general education teacher, special education director, an assistant principal, a behaviorist, and most recently, as a national special education consultant.
In her personal life, Audra also wears many hats, including being a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a caregiver. Growing up, she witnessed her mother provide in-home care for her older relatives, which is now a responsibility that she bears herself. Audra spent four years caring for her father, a Vietnam Veteran, until his passing, and she has also handled her mother’s care needs ever since then. With the experience that she gathered from providing care for her family and Clark County children living with special needs, she realized that she was well-equipped to start her own caregiving business.
“I have a deep commitment to caring for others,” said Audra. “As a daughter, wife, mother, and friend, I understand the emotional and personal challenges of caregiving, especially in end-of-life scenarios. I believe my decades of familial and professional experience have provided me with a balanced set of skills to help alleviate some of those challenges for my fellow community members and I’m eager to give back.”
According to CoreLogic, the Las Vegas-Henderson metropolitan area is one of the ten fastest growing metros in the U.S. The area’s growing population has led to an increasing number of elderly residents, as well as new hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Many of these new residents need to rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
“My personal experience caring for my family, particularly for my father at the end of his life, has given me a profound understanding and appreciation for the caregiving journey,” said Audra. “I understand how much a little help can mean to a family, and it’s our mission to provide dedicated support during life’s toughest moments.”
