77 Pizza Hut Restaurants Transition to New Ownership Following Auction Led by National Franchise Sales
April 04, 2025 // Franchising.com // Newport Beach, CA – National Franchise Sales (NFS) is pleased to announce the successful close of escrow and ownership transfer for 77 Pizza Hut restaurants across three key markets. This marks the completion of a competitive auction process, recovering just under $12 million for the bankruptcy estate.
Held on January 28 in Dallas, the auction attracted strong interest from qualified franchise operators and investors. Despite financial challenges, including negative EBITDA at nearly one-third of the locations, NFS deployed a strategy focused on a core group of 38 higher-performing restaurants, and supplemental strategy for an additional 39 locations. This dual track strategy invigorated buyer interest and maximized recovery for the estate.
“Situations like these require the right mix of strategy, industry insight, and buyer relationships—something we take pride in bringing to the table,” said Alan Gallup, NFS Partner leading the company’s Asset Recovery Team. “With escrow closed and ownership transitioned, these locations are now poised for growth under their new operators.”
