The Beer Battered Cod Sandwich is Back Again at Roy Rogers Restaurants

February 20, 2025 // Franchising.com // Frederick, MD. – Roy Rogers® Restaurants is reintroducing the beloved classic for 2025 – the Beer Battered Cod Sandwich and Platter. Starting February 19, Royalists can enjoy this flavorful seafood favorite through in-store and digital ordering via Roy's Rewards App or online.

Back for a limited time, the Beer Battered Cod Sandwich features a crispy Yuengling® beer-battered cod filet topped with yellow American cheese and tangy tartar sauce, all served on a Kaiser bun. Roy’s will also offer the Beer Battered Cod Platter, which includes two full-sized pieces of fish, tartar sauce, and a side of fries with an option to upgrade to a side of hushpuppies for $0.99.

"Our Beer Battered Cod Sandwich and Platter always generate excitement, especially as we near the Lenten season," says Jim Plamondon, Co-President of Roy Rogers Restaurants. "This year we are excited to introduce hushpuppies as the perfect complement to the entrée, all at great quality and value."

The Mint Chip Shake and Ice Cream also return to the Roy Rogers menu, offering Royalists the perfect sweet treat for the spring season. The refreshing mint taste pairs well with any of Roy Rogers' roast beef, burger, chicken or fish options.

"Variety is a core value at Roy Rogers, and expanding our menu to have a broad appeal to our communities is essential for our brand," adds Plamondon. "Innovation with our main combos and dessert options will continue to be a priority this year, and we encourage all our guests to make every meal their own at our Fixin’s Bar or with a Fixin’s cup on the go.”

As Roy Rogers kicks off an exciting year of menu innovation, the return of this fan-favorite is just the beginning. Guests can look forward to a mix of brand-new exclusive offerings and the return of more beloved classics throughout 2025.
