ERA® Affiliated Brokerage Expands Presence in Metro Detroit With Acquisition

July 02, 2024 // Franchising.com // DETROIT, M.I. - ERA Prime Real Estate Group, with offices in Farmington and Grand Blanc, has acquired Compass Realty Pro in Southgate. The combined operation consisting of three offices is now doing business as ERA Prime Real Estate Group. The move creates a seamless service area in markets serving the Greater Detroit Metro region, increasing ERA Prime Real Estate Group’s service area and market share further into Southeast Michigan.

Founded in 2017, ERA Prime Realty Group is owned by Willie Ray III. The full-service firm, which also offers mortgage and title services, has developed a reputation for being one of the most knowledgeable brokerages in the area on topics such as loan origination, mortgages, property staging, closing services as well as investment properties and property management.

Ray has served in multiple leadership roles with the East Central Association of Realtors including as a member of the board of directors in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2023. He also served as the association’s president in 2019 and 2020, and in 2020 was recognized as Realtor of the Year.

Compass Realty Pro, founded by Mark Higgins, is a market leading firm that has served its community since 2014, working with clients on all types of properties. Before opening his real estate brokerage, Higgins was a new home developer.

This acquisition is Ray’s second since affiliating with ERA Real Estate in early 2023. Last fall, Ray acquired the Farmington-based operations of a fellow ERA broker/owner, a move that allowed both companies to focus on a more concentrated service area. Ray’s second acquisition is fueled by a desire to establish a greater presence in the vibrant Southeastern Michigan region.

As part of ERA Prime Realty Estate Group’s leadership team, Higgins will now serve as managing broker.
