SYNERGY® HomeCare Expands Its Dallas Presence

June 04, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its newest franchise located in the heart of Dallas, SYNERGY HomeCare of Central Dallas.

The company is led by Ida Lapinid, a registered nurse with 34 years of experience in health care, including 15 years working in the intensive care unit which also extended through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Headquartered at 3155 S. Lancaster Road, Suite 240 in Dallas, the company assists residents living in Central Dallas with a wide variety of non-medical in-home care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

Lapinid spent five years working as a traveling nurse, where she recognized a widespread growing need for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.

Before becoming a registered nurse, Lapinid spent her early career as a professional caregiver, where she discovered the value she could offer by helping people age gracefully in their own home. Throughout her whole life, taking care of people has always been her passion, however, she never realized the importance of providing basic companionship until she entered the caregiving profession.

Shortly after dedicating herself to bettering the lives of others, Lapinid took the next step in her caregiving career which was to earn her Registered Nurse certifications and start helping people in clinical settings. She brought a unique perspective that took into consideration the needs of clients at home as well as in the hospital, which she will now also utilize as the owner of SYNERGY HomeCare of Central Dallas.

“I often found that the biggest difference I made for many of my clients was allowing them to get back home, and be happy and healthy staying there,” said Lapinid. “No matter where my job took me, wanting to age in place was always a constant for whoever I was helping. As a nurse, I was able to do what I could to get these clients out of the hospital and back home, but now, as the owner of a home care agency, I can now make sure these clients can stay home and avoid many of the pitfalls that lead to being readmitted to a facility.”

Dallas is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. with a significant aging population as well as hospitals and medical facilities. Many members of this population need to rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.

“It’s easy to take our activities of daily living for granted as younger, able-bodied people,” said Lapinid. “However, these activities are where aging loved ones need the most help. Myself and my team of caregivers will never shy away from helping a client with a task, no matter how seemingly small it may be. I promise that we’ll be there to help with everything from meal prepping breakfast to getting into bed at the end of the day.”
