STRONG Pilates Announces Launch in the USA
May 07, 2024 // Franchising.com // Australia - STRONG Pilates has today announced its expansion into The United States of America, set to open its first flagship studio in Hermosa Beach, California this year.
The expansion will see the launch of STRONG Pilates’ first international headquarters in Los Angeles, California, joining existing global headquarters in Melbourne, Australia.
STRONG Pilates was founded by Australian duo Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong, who recognised the need for a low impact, high intensity fitness format, incorporating the world’s leading fitness genre, Pilates with cardio-infused training. Previously successful F45 franchise owners, they sourced and exclusively licensed the U.S. developed Rowformer and Bikeformer machines, curating programs to challenge fitness enthusiasts in a 45-minute session.
To manage the expansion of STRONG's fitness model, both founders will relocate to the global headquarters in California in 2024, showcasing the paramount demand of this fitness offering.
"Our launch in the U.S. is a step for STRONG Pilates," said Michael Ramsey, co-founder of STRONG. "We're eager to bring our fitness concept to the U.S. market and meet the demand for a unique format which will carve a new movement and fitness standard."
Mark Armstrong, co-founder of STRONG, added: "We’ve seen success across all territories to date and a record number of members registering ahead of launch. Our proven model is representative of a dynamic offering which transcends across all communities. We are currently taking expressions of interest in the U.S. for studio locations and growth partners to join our thriving fitness community.”
