ZIPS Dry Cleaners Bringing Unique Same-Day, One-Price Dry Cleaning Services to Southeast Florida

January 31, 2018 // Franchising.com // GREENBELT, Md. - ZIPS Dry Cleaners has signed a franchise agreement for the development of 40 stores throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in Southeast Florida over the next 15 years.

All 40 stores will be owned by ZSF OPCO, LLC, a group of South Florida-based private investors who have experience developing and operating multi-unit branded and franchised concepts in the restaurant, fitness and healthcare markets. The group is enthusiastic and excited for the opportunity to bring the innovative ZIPS model to Southeast Florida.

“The dry cleaning industry has a history of confusion - why is there so much variance in cost from one article of clothing to another? ZIPS has solved this problem by charging the same low price for any dry-cleaned garment, no matter if it’s a t-shirt or a dress,” said Mike Moran, a principal of ZSF OPCO. “ZIPS offers a unique brand proposition, and we expect that Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will appreciate our dedication to making dry cleaning services affordable and efficient.”

At ZIPS, a customer can have any item of clothing dry cleaned for $2.29. It doesn’t matter if the item is a necktie, a coat or a pair of pants, the price is $2.29, approximately 60 percent less than the national average. Garments are also cleaned on-site, allowing for same-day service.

“When you walk into a ZIPS Dry Cleaners, you always know exactly how much it will cost,” added Moran. “The model is extraordinarily simple--bring your clothes in by 9 a.m. and you’ll have them back by 5 p.m. - it’s that easy!”

Additionally, in today’s increasingly “green-conscious" society, ZIPS is leading the way in the search for new environmentally friendly practices, such as its use of biodegradable plastic bags and a hanger recycling program. ZIPS recycles thousands of hangers each year, uses 100% biodegradable plastic bags, and focuses on continuing to reduce water usage and waste production.
