ServiceMaster to Announce Major Financial Commitment to Minority Franchise Development

WHAT:

ServiceMaster, based in Memphis, Tenn., will announce a substantial financial commitment to minority franchise development during its "Fulfilling the Dream" reception April 2, 2008, at the Peabody Hotel. A commitment check will be made to the Shane Battier Franchise Scholarship initiative, just prior to the National Action Network's "Keepers of the Dream" banquet, hosted by the Rev. Al Sharpton.



WHO:

Memphis-based minority franchise owners and 2008 Shane Battier Franchise Scholarship recipients will be available for interviews to give their first-hand accounts of the positive impact the ServiceMaster commitment has made on their lives, and the actions they have taken to build a successful franchise. ServiceMaster executives who are driving the diversity development initiative will also be available for comment.



Available for interviews:

• Amonica and John Davis, 2008 Shane Battier ServiceMaster Clean Scholarship recipients, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are just beginning their ServiceMaster Clean franchise.
  
• Vincent Lee is the president of ServiceMaster Facilities Maintenance, a ServiceMaster franchise that he and several partners began in 2005 in Memphis. His franchise is one of the fastest growing ServiceMaster Clean franchises.
  
• Andre Coleman, executive vice president and CFO of ServiceMaster Facilities Maintenance, is passionate about positive economic enterprises and takes great pride in managing the financials of his multi-million dollar company.
  
• Michael M. Isakson is the president and chief operating officer of the ServiceMaster Clean business unit. He has also served as a past president of the International Franchise Association and is a former ServiceMaster Clean franchise owner.
  
• David Messenger, vice president of market expansion for ServiceMaster Clean, currently serves on the International Franchise Association's Diversity Institute board of directors.
