Doubletree Hotel Richmond Downtown Celebrates Completion of $9 Million Hotel Transformation

First Upscale, Full-Service Hilton Family Hotel in Downtown Richmond Makes Debut in Virginia's Capital City

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Doubletree® Hotels (NYSE:HLT) welcomes a new addition to its Virginia portfolio with the opening of the Doubletree Hotel Richmond Downtown. This 230-room, full-service hotel is situated in the uptown district of historic Richmond, within walking distance of the Commonwealth of Virginia Capitol Building, Virginia Commonwealth University, the Center for the Performing Arts, and the recently expanded Richmond Convention Center. Formerly a Radisson hotel, the hotel team and owners today commemorated their accomplishments with invited guests and community leaders by celebrating and sharing the finishing touches on a $9 million renovation project that has reinvigorated guest rooms, meeting space, dining facilities and much more.

The 230-room Doubletree is operated by Prism Hotel Operations, LLC under a franchise license agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation.

The spacious guest rooms and suites at the Doubletree Hotel Richmond Downtown have been significantly updated with a contemporary design scheme of warm earth tones and textures that create an environment of classic comfort with modern elegance. Homelike comforts include complimentary high-speed Internet access, MP3 compatible, stereo clock radios and the brand's signature Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree sleep experience.
