Kid Friendly and Mother Approved!

SAN DIEGO – As a dad, Jack, the fictional founder of Jack in the Box® restaurants, knows that kids can be picky eaters, which is why he's adding two new choices to his Kid's Meal menu that children … and parents … will love – a grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate or regular milk chugs.

Available now, Jack's new grilled cheese sandwich features the chain's signature sourdough bread topped with two slices of American cheese. The new milk chugs, in easy-to-drink, 8-ounce plastic jugs, come in reduced-fat regular or low-fat chocolate.

"Although our menu, restaurants and advertising cater to adult consumers, our young guests deserve a variety of great-tasting menu items to choose from, too," said Teka O'Rourke, director of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box. "Now kids can munch on a tasty grilled cheese sandwich, while mom and dad enjoy their burgers and shakes."

A Jack's Kid's Meal with a grilled cheese sandwich, french fries or applesauce, a milk chug and a toy is available for the suggested price, excluding tax, of $2.59 at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
